You should avoid doing this trek in the rainy season. you can do this trek in winter or summer. During this trek you will get to see many ancient villages.

 

Har Ki Dun Trekking Tour Itinerary

 

Day 1:  Dehradun to Sankri (220 km / 10 hrs):

Day 2:  Sankri to Taluka (12 km drive) & Taluka to Pauni Garaat (10 km trek / 6 hrs):

Day 3:  Pauni Garaat to Kalkatiyadhar (08 km trek / 6 hrs):

Day 4:  Kalkatiyadhar (2950 m) to Har Ki Dun (3400 m) and Return:

Day 5:  Kalkatiyadhar to Pauni Garaat (08 kms trek / 5 hrs):

Day 6:  Pauni Garaat to Taluka (10 km trek / 5 hrs) & Taluka to Sakri (12 km drive):

Day 7:  Sankri to Dehradun (220 km / 10 hours drive):

Tour Plan

For the Har Ki Dun trek, you will be picked up from Dehradun/Haridwar/Rishikesh as per your choice. Your tour will start at 7 am, so you will need to arrive at your tour starting point a day in advance so that you can start your journey on time. If you reach the place 2 days before the start date of your tour, you can also explore off-the-beaten-path places like Haridwar and Rishikesh, etc. Your tour will start from Dehradun at 7 o'clock in the morning. First, we will go to Sankri which is 220 km from Dehradun. You will get to see many beautiful views of the mountains during your journey. We will go to Sankri via Musri. We will reach Sankri in the evening and stay in the guest house. In the evening you are free to roam around.

After breakfast in the morning we will leave for Taluka Village and our trekking journey will start from Taluka Village. While trekking you will have to pass through the forest road. also, You will get to see many beautiful lakes during your trekking. You will also get to see farms on the way. We will pitch tents at Pauni Garaat and spend the night in tents.

On the third day, after having breakfast in the morning, we will start our journey towards Kalkatiyadhar. We will have to pass through Oslo Village during our journey. Duryodhana Temple is also a place worth seeing here, after that we will reach Kalkatiyadhar and spend the night in tents.

Today our tour will start early in the morning, today our track will go through alpine meadows located in the foothills of glaciers. Here you can also see milky-colored waterfalls. During winter time you will find the entire place covered with snow. From here you can also see Swarg Rohin, Black Peak, and Hata Peak. Later we will return to the campsite and spend the night in the tent.

This morning after breakfast, start the trek to Pauni Garaat. This is the same route by which we have passed through Oslo. Today we will trek downwards which will take less time and is easier than climbing up. We will spend the night in tents in Puni Garaat itself.

After having breakfast in the morning, we will start trekking towards the Taluka Village. After reaching Taluka, we will drive from Taluka to Sankri Village, we will spend the night in Sankri Village only.

This morning after breakfast we will start the drive to Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun. You will be dropped off at Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun at your convenience.
