Chopta Trek is one of the most famous and liked trekking places in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state. Chopta Trek is famous for its natural beauty, along with this a famous temple is also located here which is Tungnathe temple, this temple is also the highest Shiva temple located in the world which adds to the importance of this trek. The best time to do the Chopta trek is considered to be from the month of April to November. Because during winter there is heavy snowfall here.

 

Chopta Tungnath Deoria Tal Chandrashila Trekking Tour - 4 Nights/5 Days

Your journey will start from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun as per the requirement of the guest. Your Pickup can be done from Haridwar Railway Station, Bus Stand, or Dehradun Airport as per your requirement. If possible, it would be better for you to reach one or two days earlier so that you can explore Haridwar and Rishikesh. You can visit temples in Haridwar and watch Ganga Aarti. You can also do adventure activities like bungee jumping, cliff climbing, and river rafting in Rishikesh. You can also enjoy Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. We will start the journey at 7 am, your drive will last for approximately 7 to 8 hours. The next leg will be Rudraprayag which is the confluence of Alaknand and Mandakini rivers, there is a place called Ukhimath which is a place worth visiting if you have time and you can also skate there. At night you will reach Sari village and then take a hotel room and rest for the night.

check out after having breakfast. Sari Village is a small village with mountains behind it and fields nearby. Your trek will start from Doria Tal. This trek is a mixture of hilly and natural trails. From Deoriatal you can also see Chadrshila Choti. When it is spring season here, you can also see rhododendron blossoms blooming here. camp will be set up here and we will have lunch while enjoying nature. After having lunch you are free to enjoy nature. We will spend the night in the Doriatal tent only. Here you will find alpine meadows.

After breakfast in, we will travel to Baniyakund via Rohini Bugyal road. After the journey to Rohini Bugyal, you will reach Bhagdwal Temple from where a path descends which leads to Rohini Bugyal. Here you will find alpine meadows. We will spend the night in a tent at Baniyakund near Chopta.

Early in the morning after breakfast leave for Tungnath Chandrashila Sikhar. After visiting Tungnath Temple, head to Chandrashila. There is heavy snowfall here between December and April. From here you can also see Ravan Shila Peak. Chandrashila Peak is at a height of 13100 feet, from here you get to see beautiful views all around. From here you will see Trishul, Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Nandaghunti, Kedar, and Chaukhamba mountains. When the weather is clear, you can also see the peaks of Gangotri from here. We will spend the night in Baniyakund tents only.

After breakfast in the morning, we will start our return journey. You will be dropped at Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun as per your convenience.
